Our rare Antique Cherry flooring is made from reclaimed barn wood timbers, siding, floor joists, roof trusses, etc. Planks ranges in color from the lustrous dark reddish brown heartwood to the pale cream-colored sapwood and contain evidence of their age and their former life including blackened nail holes, insect marks and weathered cracks. The grain is frequently wavy and satiny. American Cherry heartwood will darken over time to a consistent dark reddish brown. An Aged Woods® Antique Cherry floor is uniquely beautiful with minimum to medium character and patina. This floor is slightly less durable than oak and should be treated like a fine piece of furniture.
