Our rare Antique Walnut flooring is made from reclaimed barn wood timbers, siding, floor joists, roof trusses, etc. Planks range from the dark chocolate brown of the heartwood to the light cream, nearly white sapwood and contain evidence of their age and their former life including blackened nail holes, insect marks and weathered cracks. It is mostly straight-grained, but does exhibit wavy and satiny appearance nearing a knot. Like cherry, walnut darkens with age. An Aged Woods® Antique Walnut floor is uniquely beautiful with minimum to medium character and minimum patina. This floor is less durable than oak and should be treated like a fine piece of furniture.
