Aged Woods®-Information for Specifiers

Samples are available - to specifiers - on a per-project basis at no charge. We reserve the right to limit it to three different samples. Each sample consists of at least three individual planks ALL representing ONE sample. Please keep all of the planks together. If you show them to someone else, make sure that they understand that ALL of the planks together are ONE sample. Due to the weathering and aging processes there is a lot of natural variation in the color and character of our products and this is our way of demonstrating that fact. Oh, and did we mention that the multiple planks we send represent ONE sample?

People who are new to recycled wood should understand that there are holes(!) and cracks(!!) in our planks. Nevertheless, a properly installed and finished Aged Woods® floor is very safe and sound.

For presentation purposes, our samples are sanded, finished with Duraseal Penetrating Wood Finish before labeling. For those wishing to experiment with different finishes, unfinished samples are available. Accompanying our samples is information that will aid you in successfully incorporating our products into your design and correctly specifying them.
