You’re using Bona Hardwood Floor Cleaner now. That’s great! Here is also what Bona recommends to help keep your Aged Woods reclaimed hardwood floor looking great. Dust or sweep daily with a microfiber mop or cloth to help protect from scratches and other surface damage. Microfiber pads use static electricity to trap particles on the pad, which is much more effective than brooming, which will push dirt and soil into the cracks. Vacuuming and mopping should be done once a week to focus on getting soil out of cracks and corners. Be careful when vacuuming, making sure that the beater bar does not touch the floor and being careful with the wheels to make sure they too don’t damage the floor. When mopping, lightly mist your floor with a hardwood floor cleaner (Bona is recommended) and use as little water as possible. Water and wood do not mix! Also be as gentle as possible. Polishing should be done every 2-3 months and can renew your finish and fills in microscopic scratches.
