PRODUCT SPECS

All planks are kiln-dried to under 10% (typically 8% +/- 2%) moisture content prior to milling to minimize seasonal movement. Wood does absorb and expel moisture depending on its environment causing changes in shape and dimension; all movement cannot be eliminated. Certain species in particular and wide planks in general are more susceptible to this movement and gaps may occur during the heating season. All planks are precisely milled and graded to ensure a high quality finished installation while preserving the exceptional character inherent in each species, especially the weathered Antique Distressed® products.

All planks are milled with a square top edge, an offset tongue & groove, an undercut bottom shoulder and a relieved bottom face. This promotes a tight face joint and easy installation while allowing the wood to breathe.

All planks are sold in random widths (RW) within the ranges listed in their respective PRODUCTS descriptions (this yields a non-repeating pattern. In other words, THERE IS NO PATTERN!! and random lengths (RL) generally between 1-1/2´ – 12′. (Minimum 3´ length for plank widths of 7″ and up.) Planks are end-trimmed of waste and pre-squared.

All flooring orders are bundled into one “person” bundles, stacked and banded onto skids and shipped via common carrier or contract hauler.

PRODUCTION SCHEDULES & AVAILABILITY

While some raw material may need to be located to fill special orders, we maintain a very large inventory of flooring blanks. These blanks require a final profile, i.e. T&G, to be complete.

We custom mill every order and make every effort to ship within a four-week production schedule. Please contact us for exact lead time as lead times do vary and some species and widths, especially wide planks, may require additional time to manufacture.

TERMS, CONDITIONS & WARRANTY

Prices are F.O.B. our mill. There is no minimum flooring purchase, but there are handling fees below 250SF.

A 50% deposit is required to initiate all standard orders. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to initiate all custom orders, e.g. special widths or lengths, stair parts, etc. Full prepayment may be required on small orders.

Our products are guaranteed against defects in workmanship. We have a thirty day return policy. Within that period defective goods will be replaced or refunded. Non-defective goods are subject to a 20% restocking fee. All returned goods must be returned freight pre-paid, in original condition and packaging. Shipping costs will be reimbursed on defective goods returned under warranty.
