Pet owners, you want to keep your reclaimed hardwood floor from Aged Woods looking good don’t you? One thing that you should consider (if you haven’t already) is what your dog or cat can do to damage your floor. Both animals have claws and sometimes those claws get put to use. Whether it is running, playing, or fighting, your canine or feline friend can leave claw marks on your floor. Other than sealing off the room to them, there is very little that you can do to prevent this. Yes a cat can be de-clawed but that is only their front paws.

One thing that you can do is to trim their nails. This is not the most pleasant thing to do for either you or your furry friend but it can go a long way to keeping your floor looking good. If you don’t want to do this yourself there are pet groomers that would be more than happy to do it for you (and are probably a lot more experienced with it than you are).

For those scratches that are on your floor it is easy to lightly buff the floor to eliminate the scratch and to re-apply the finish. That is much easier than sanding the floor down and re-staining it. That means then that Fluffy or Fido can continue to call your home their home and provide you will all the love they can.
