With our 30+ years of experience in construction and a specific focus on wood flooring, we are able advise on what is needed to use our products on your project. For a deep dive or for spec writing reference, we can provide technical documentation from the NWFA. Below, on or above grade .. installed on concrete or nailed to a subfloor, we can help. And our LEED AP can help with projects pursuing certification.
Samples for selection, storyboard, presentation, etc.
We are happy to provide you with samples at no charge. Smaller ones, typically, until the number of selections has been narrowed, and then larger ones. And, if needed, enough material for presentations as well. Standard samples usually take a few days. If we are sampling you on custom products, e.g. hand-beveling, custom color-matching, etc., that can take longer. Samples are sent via UPS Ground.
Have an inspiration image?
We can work from your pictures (or renderings) to suggest which of our products would best achieve your goal or start with something you saw on our site. If you have something more unique in mind, we can offer customizations to our standard products such as hand-beveling and/or scraping as well as hand-rubbed natural, plant-based oil. If you need a particularly subtle color for the floor to be in harmony or something achieved with a two-color stain, we can help.
We work with the contractors.
We work with the contractors to coordinate the delivery of our products to the construction site and provide them in advance with helpful information on how to best get heavy, dense wood into the space. If there are technical questions, we answer them. We try to be proactive to see that our understanding of the way things are going aligns with our understanding of the way we thought things were supposed to go. Sometimes our experience can help us anticipate and head off issues.
