Reclaimed Mixed Hardwoods Flooring (Skip-Planed Face) – Overview

We skip-plane the faces of our reclaimed mixed hardwoods flooring to produce the rustic and visually interesting Ranch House™ Mixed Hardwoods flooring. The input raw material is a blend of North American hardwoods native to our region, e.g. maple, beech, elm, sycamore, ash, hickory, oak, etc. The flooring planks range in color from medium to dark brown and have much more evidence of their age and their former life than any of our smooth-planed products because of the retained original timber faces. This is and extremely and rustic with maximum character and patina.

  • We send free samples after we have quoted material and shipping costs, and lead time, that fits the project budget and timeline.
  • An Aged Woods® sample consists of 3-4 pieces of the product. We send multiple pieces to show more of the range of color and character of a product than a single piece. Our samples should be used in conjunction with the photos and descriptions on our website to decide which product will suit your needs.
  • To place an order remit a deposit that is 50% of the material costs, i.e. the total minus the shipping cost/2. The balance, including an updated shipping cost, will be due just before shipping.
  • We accept payments via ACH, checks and Zelle®. Because of the fees we do not accept credit cards.
  • Installers are very important in determining how your Aged Woods® floor turns out, so it is equally important for that person (or persons) to be experienced installers with, ideally, some experience with reclaimed wood flooring.
  • That said, we are happy to discuss installation and finishing with our customers. Some might want to do it themselves.
  • We are just as happy to discuss the product with the installer(s) if they have any questions.
