Antique Remilled Reclaimed Oak Flooring – Overview

We make our reclaimed oak flooring, in general, from the oak trees native to our region and our Antique Oak Remilled flooring no exception. But it is made from the insides of selected antique barn timbers so the planks range in color from light honey to medium brown. Like our other reclaimed wood flooring they contain evidence of age and their former lives including blackened nail holes, insect marks, weathered cracks and some patina.  Remilled reclaimed oak flooring is a very durable hardwood floor with minimum character and minimum patina that can work almost anywhere including very modern designs.

For a more rustic floor that is still smooth-planed – and also bare foot/socks friendly – check out our Antique Distressed™ Oak flooring.

Please call to discuss your project/our products, or use the Contact Form to begin the discussion. We look forward to providing you with the highest level of service!

  • We send free samples after we have quoted material and shipping costs, and lead time, that fits the project budget and timeline.
  • An Aged Woods® sample consists of 3-4 pieces of the product. We send multiple pieces to show more of the range of color and character of a product than a single piece. Our samples should be used in conjunction with the photos and descriptions on our website to decide which product will suit your needs.
  • To place an order remit a deposit that is 50% of the material costs, i.e. the total minus the shipping cost/2. The balance, including an updated shipping cost, will be due just before shipping.
  • We accept payments via ACH, checks and Zelle®. Because of the fees we do not accept credit cards.
  • Installers are very important in determining how your Aged Woods® floor turns out, so it is equally important for that person (or persons) to be experienced installers with, ideally, some experience with reclaimed wood flooring.
  • That said, we are happy to discuss installation and finishing with our customers. Some might want to do it themselves.
  • We are just as happy to discuss the product with the installer(s) if they have any questions.
