Reclaimed Yellow Pine Flooring Original Face (Bunkhouse Plank™) – Overview

Our product name for reclaimed yellow pine original face flooring is Bunkhouse Plank™ Yellow Pine and is a blend of longleaf, short leaf and loblolly pines native to our region. We select from well-aged, circular sawn barn framing timbers and then carefully remill them into this dramatically rustic … “cowboy bar” rustic … wood flooring! The planks range in color from medium yellow to deep reddish-brownish and have the original old-time circular sawcut marks. Also included are blackened nail holes, insect marks and weathered cracks. Bunkhouse Plank® Yellow Pine is a durable and extremely rustic hardwood floor with maximum character and patina.

For a lighter colored and fully planed version, please see our Reclaimed Yellow Pine Distressed flooring.

For historic heartpine, see Reclaimed Heartpine flooring.

  • We send free samples after we have quoted material and shipping costs, and lead time, that fits the project budget and timeline.
  • An Aged Woods® sample consists of 3-4 pieces of the product. We send multiple pieces to show more of the range of color and character of a product than a single piece. Our samples should be used in conjunction with the photos and descriptions on our website to decide which product will suit your needs.
  • To place an order remit a deposit that is 50% of the material costs, i.e. the total minus the shipping cost/2. The balance, including an updated shipping cost, will be due just before shipping.
  • We accept payments via ACH, checks and Zelle®. Because of the fees we do not accept credit cards.
  • Installers are very important in determining how your Aged Woods® floor turns out, so it is equally important for that person (or persons) to be experienced installers with, ideally, some experience with reclaimed wood flooring.
  • That said, we are happy to discuss installation and finishing with our customers. Some might want to do it themselves.
  • We are just as happy to discuss the product with the installer(s) if they have any questions.
